Here are the release notes for 26A released on February 5, 2026. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to customer support.
Claims Module
Payment Approval Screen Enhancements - Add “Approval Details” (Claim Details & Claim Summary)
The Payment Approval screen now includes an expanded “Approval Details” section that shows key claim details and a clear claim summary directly within the approval view. This read-only information helps approvers review payments more efficiently without leaving the screen, while all existing approval behavior remains unchanged
System Event: Salvage
Changes have been made to “Related Items” with modified statuses and a new action menu that allows the user to edit the item. If the Status “Salvageable” is selected, then the user can use the action menu to mark the item as “Sold.” Once an item has been sold it can be ”Unsold” using the action menu. The current status will be shown in the status column in the overview.
Finance Module
A/R Reconciliation Overpayment [No Carry Forward] - Allow Broker Credit to be Partially Applied on a Policy, Reconciled Same Month
A/R Reconciliation now supports partial application of broker credits to policy rows. If a broker credit is less than the outstanding policy balance, it can be applied and the remaining amount can be settled in the same reconciliation using cheque or EFT. This removes the previous limitation that required credits to fully cover a policy before they could be used. The result is a smoother and more flexible reconciliation process that better reflects real world payment scenarios.
Policy Module
Email: Add Phone Number Merge Field
A new optional phone number substitution field, {{phoneNumber}}, has been added to Modular Solutions email templates. This field is available across all email templates and is sourced from underwriting data, allowing a phone number to be included when needed in email communications.
Gateway Module
Claims Activity Behaves Like All Other Activities in Gateway Module
In the Gateway Module, there are now privacy options displaying when the broker is entering a claim and they add an activity to that claim. The broker can never set the activity or the note to “Private,” as broker activities and notes should never be hidden from the underwriter or adjuster. This is now consistent with the way activities and notes behave elsewhere in the Gateway Module.
Gateway+
Landing Page/Update Link for Allowing Customers to Update Credit Card Information in Bambora Directly
A self-serve payment update landing page allows policy holders to securely update an expiring credit card before a scheduled payment or renewal. Using a public link, policy holders authenticate with their policy number and term end date, review the current payment method, and submit a new card without logging in. This helps prevent declined payments, improves collection success, and reduces manual follow up for insurance teams.
Gateway Module & Policy Module
Cancellation Types - By Product Per Module Gateway vs Policy [Carry Over]
Cancellation options can now be configured per product and per module, allowing you to show prorate only, short Rate only, or both independently for Gateway and Policy Modules. The cancellation dropdown is populated from this product configuration at the time of cancellation, with existing products defaulting to both options for backward compatibility. If you have an internal product designer, please reference the guide for more information. If you would like to implement this new functionality, please submit a support change request.
Rules Engine: Safely Remove Risk Group/Risk/Coverage via Rules
Rules now safely remove risk groups, risks, and coverages during rule execution and rating, ensuring entities are fully removed without leaving invalid or partial states. This prevents sync and validation errors across subsequent system calls and keeps policies consistent. If you have an internal product designer, please reference the guide for more information. If you would like to implement this new functionality, please submit a support change request.
Move Broker Contact to Policy Version Level
Broker contact information is now associated with each policy version, giving underwriters clearer visibility into who to contact for a specific version. This ensures broker details remain accurate and relevant as policies change over time.
Gateway Module, Gateway+ & Policy Module
Funnel Forms - Allow Cancelling Out from a Form (Affects Claim History, Conviction, Suspension & Association)
Users can now cancel out of in-progress Funnel Forms entries, such as claim history, conviction, suspension, and association, allowing you to exit an add flow if selected by mistake. This improves the quoting experience by letting you leave the form without using the back button or removing existing data.
Broker Defaulted on Endorsement
Broker-initiated policy changes now default the broker contact automatically if none is selected at the start of a change. This ensures broker details are consistently assigned and visible on endorsements.
Valet Finance
QBO Monthly Summary Entry
The accounting integration in Valet can now be configured to sync summary entries from Modular when initiated by the user rather than every entry in real time.
