Purpose
To set out the nine stages of the Modular Solutions implementation process, from internal kick-off through to go live, and what happens at each stage.
Overview
Implementation runs in nine stages. The early stages establish scope and build a sandbox the client can react to. The middle stages iterate on the product build with repeated demos and feedback. The final stages prepare production, train the users and migrate the data.
The Nine Stages
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Internal Kick-Off | Kick off the new project internally. |
| 2. Client Kick-Off | Identify scope and constraints. Gather initial onboarding requirements such as branding and basic client information. |
| 3. Build Sandbox | The Modular Solutions team prepares the onboarding document and builds a sandbox environment with the client’s branding and information. A similar product from our product shelf is used to give the client a starting point for their own product design. An internal user interface and user experience review is conducted to ensure the best possible day one experience for clients. |
| 4. Client Sandbox Demo | The Modular Solutions team gives a screen-by-screen demo of the sandbox, gathering feedback and collecting requirements from the client. With the preloaded product, they can visualise what is possible and give specific feedback on what they like, dislike and any additional requirements for their product. |
| 5. Product Build and Data Migration | Based on the gathered specifications and requirements, the product is built. Once the first pass is completed, the client goes through another demo where we collect further feedback. The product is updated and another demo is given for further feedback; this process repeats as needed. Where applicable, the data conversion team is involved and works with the product builder to map and convert legacy policies. |
| 6. Final Build, Test and Demo | Once the final round of feedback is received from the client, the Modular Solutions team completes the final updates to the product and completes any outstanding onboarding requirements. There is internal testing and a final user interface and user experience review. A final demo is given to the client and it is turned over to them for testing; once completed, they sign the acceptance document. |
| 7. Final Launch Preparation | The Modular Solutions team prepares the production server and assists the client with any third party setup and connections required. |
| 8. Training | Modular Solutions trains the client’s staff or trainers, as preferred. |
| 9. Go Live | The data migration process is triggered and the client starts using the new platform. |
